Pre Existing Medical Conditions

We provide single trips with no upper age limit and consider many pre-existing medical conditions. Please note that all claims relating to pre-existing medical conditions are not covered unless referred to and accepted by our medical screening team. We may be able to offer some cover and may be able to cover your medical conditions although an increased premium or excess may be required.

There are exclusions to the travel insurance policies, such as:
- Pre-existing medical conditions unless accepted by the Insurer
- Age limits
- Eligibility – policies are only available to residents of the UK, Channel Island and Isle of Man
- Trip duration limits

Do I need to declare my medical conditions?
The Covered2go Policy you choose may not cover any claims that arise from your pre-existing medical conditions. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions below then you must declare the relevant conditions to us. For us to consider your pre-existing medical conditions please contact the Travel Administration Facilities on 0203 829 6587. You may be required to pay an additional premium if you wish for your declared medical conditions to be covered and whilst all conditions are considered they may not all have the option for cover. Please note that you have the choice to purchase your Travel Insurance Policy before or after calling Travel Administration Facilities. Covered2go provide a 14 day cooling off period should you wish to cancel your Policy. Please read and answer the following accurately and carefully:
How To Get Pre Existing Medical Travel Insurance?
When you have purchased or received a quote for your standard Covered2go travel insurance policy (without medical conditions cover), and you would like us to consider cover for your medical conditions, please contact Travel Administration Facilities 0203 829 6587. Our friendly advisors provide a simple screening process, asking relevant questions of your pre-existing conditions in order for them to provide the most suitable medical travel insurance cover for you.
To speed up the screening process, it's helpful to know the type of Covered2go Policy you have purchased or will be purchasing, e.g. Last Minute, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Cruise and whether you have added Winter Sports as an extension. It is helpful if you have details of any medications, treatments and other information that will help our team to make a decision.
If you are happy with the quote received from our screening team, once purchased, your documentation will be sent to your email address. Ensure you attach this documentation to your Covered2go travel documents and take them away with you just incase any unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances occur and you need to use them.
